The oldest in the range, this 25 year old expression exudes intense though refined aromas effortlessly, and delivers a gamut of superb notes of dark fruit, rancio and fragrant oak on the palate with elegance (and a bit of oomph behind it too with the 43% ABV). It pairs rather well with a fine cigar, too.
The V.S. is a blend of eaux-de-vie distilled from the white wines produced in the two main wine areas of the Appellation Contrôlée: Bas-Armagnac and Tenarèze. Armagnac Janneau V.S. is a delicate blend of eaux-de-vie of great aromatic finesse. The nose is extremely fresh, fruity like young plums.
The Grand Armagnac Napoleon of Janneau it is the result of the assembly of spirits obtained from Ugni Blanc and Baco grapes from the historic production areas of Bas Armagnac and Ténarèze, and is the result of two types of distillation: single and double. The two batches are then aged separately for 10-12 years in French Limousine oak barrels, developing their own individual characteristics that Janneau’s master blend will skillfully combine to bring them to the fore in the final armagnac. It has an amber colour with fascinating golden reflections. The scent is elegant and complex, with hints of sweet wood and vanilla. In the mouth it is round and full, with a finish of great persistence focused on tones of ripe plums.
